The devices will charger quicker than other USB wall outlets that only deliver 1A. The charger is smart enough to detect how much current it can safely supply and based on the cable and device will ramp it up or down.

Installation is fairly standard. The outlet fit in a standard box. Just make sure you have enough room. Either push or wrap installation are supported. A decorator wall plate is included.

It is ideal as you can leave an extra cable in the room and don't need to move a charger. It works best with standard corded devices that don't block other outlets.
